Honey Harvesting Workshop: Hands-on honey extraction workshop. From hive to jar, experience the process of harvesting raw honey! Each participant goes home with a sample jar of honey that they helped to extract from the hive. Class size will be limited. $50/person

Making Salves and Lip Balm with Beeswax: This demonstration workshop will show you how to create your own herbal salves and lip balms using beeswax. You will learn about the healing properties of several herbs as well as how to get these properties into your salve and lip balm. You will leave with detailed instructions on how to make your own salve and lip balm, printed notes about the herbs discussed in class, and the supplies necessary to make your own tube of lip balm and jar of salve. This workshop is two hours long and class size is limited. $75/person.

Assembling Your Hive Equipment: This five-hour, hands-on workshop is for beginning beekeepers who would like to learn how to assemble their Langstroth hive bodies and frames. Price includes supplies and equipment to build two brood boxes, a super, twenty brood frames and ten super frames. The baseboard, inner cover, telescoping cover and queen excluder are also included. You will go home with everything you need to house your packaged bees. Class size is limited. (This workshop will be available again this winter.)

Everything You Need to Know to Start Beekeeping this Spring: This workshop is three hours long and serves as an introduction to honeybees and the art of beekeeping. This is a great place to start if you are trying to decide if you want to take up beekeeping. (This workshop will be available again early 2013.)
